Shikamaru was just taking his usual morning walk when a blond girl came around the corner.
“Hey, Shika, honey!”
“I’ve told you a million times not to call me that…”
“What’s wrong, baby?”
“Oh ,nothin’…”
“OK” she said and hugged him. He managed to get himself out of the hug and continued to walk. She just sighted and walked after him.

Ino was already home but Shikamaru kept on walking around the village. As he was walking by the gate for the millionth time this morning, he heard some voices.
“Hey, Temari-san! Welcome back to Konoha!”
“Thank you!”the sand kunoichi  walked through the gates and into the village. Shikamaru saw her and waved.
“Hey! What’s up?”
“Just decided to come here and see you guys! I haven’t been here since forever…”
“Yeah… well see ya!”
“See ya, Shikamaru!” as they walked away from each other the both of them already had so many questions in their heads.
<oh, god, why does she has to be so damn hot!?I can’t even remember why I’ve started dating Ino anymore… I wish I haven’t> well actually here’s what happened….
-flashback-
“Hey, Shika!”
“Ino, you know I hate it when you call me that…”
“Yeah, well you better start getting along with it, ‘couse you’re my boyfriend from now on..”
“I’m not your boyfriend…that would be way too troublesome!”
“well say what you want but you are what I said you are!”
Shikamaru didn’t protest( he thought it would be too troublesome) so from that day on he and Ino were considered boyfriend and girlfriend…
-end of flashback-
Shikamaru was never really a good boyfriend but Ino was head over heals for him so she didn’t care. He didn’t love her, he didn’t like her, he found all that way too (guess what!) troublesome…but Temari was different, ever since that last time he saw her he was a bit changed. He was always thinking about someone but he just couldn’t remember who she was. But now that he met the sand nin again, he knew it was her.
-at Ino’s place-
“Temari are you ok? You look upset about something…”
“Oh, it’s nothin’… Ino, I was wondering how serious are things between you and Shikamaru? “
“Pretty much I guess… though he never really acts like my boyfriend but it’s OK I love him anyways….”
“Well I’m happy for you two!” She said that but deep inside she knew she didn’t mean it. She wanted them to break up so that she could have a chance with Shikamaru. But she couldn’t  tell that to her, after all Ino was one of her best friends…

On the next morning Shikamaru woke up with the same thought he was waking up every morning for a long time. That thought was about Temari. But this time he could do something about it. He got dressed much faster than usual and went out. He didn’t know that Temari was staying at Ino’s so he went there first.
There was a hard knock on the door.
“Who could that be?”
“I don’t know. Could you get that please, I’m busy doing the washing-up.”
“Sure.” Temari stood up and opened the door.
“Shikamaru?”
“Temari? What are YOU doing here!?”
“Oh there was nowhere else to stay so Ino let me stay here… And what are you here for?”
“I came to see Ino.”
“Oh yeah right…” Temari’s face suddenly wasn’t so happy. “I’ll go get her for you.”
“Ino, someone’s at the door for you.”
“Oh, really? Who is it?”
“It’s Shikamaru.”
“REALLY!? He actually came here to get me?”
“I guess so…”but now Ino wasn’t in the room anymore.
“Shika, honey, you finally started to act like your supposed to!”
“Actually no.”
“What do you mean?”
“let’s go for a walk, shall we?”
“Sure.” Ino got her coat an they went out.

In about fifteen minuets Ino ran in crying.
“OH MY GOSH! Ino, what’s wrong?”
“*sniff* He broke up with me! *sniff* oh, Temari, I’m so sad…”
“What? He… why would he do something like that? “
“He said he never really loved me or liked me and he doesn’t want to continue this as he said ‘joke’.”
At that moment Shikamaru came in too. Ino broke into even harder tears and dragged Temari to the other room where she continued her story:
“That’s horrible!” Temari said but inside she was celebrating. This was her chance! Shikamaru was alone and no one would to try and seduce him in another two weeks or so because they’d probably be afraid from lno. This meant she had two weeks.
“ *sniff* It’s not the worse part… *sniff* He also said he loved someone else…. *double sniff*He said he was obsessed with her… I still can’t believe he ditched me…. “Ino stopped talking because she couldn’t, she was too busy crying…
All that time Ino was crying and Temari  was comforting her Shikamaru had just stood there at the door. Then Temari finally walked out leaving Ino alone with her tears.
“You really upset her, you know?”Temari didn’t know what else to say to start a conversation.
“I know but I don’t care. I guess she already told you everything, didn’t she?”
“Yeah, she did… So who’s that other girl?” Temari  remembered about that and it kinda worried her.
“Ummm… I’ll choose not to tell you that….” Shikamaru blushed and turned around to leave.
“Whatever you like… I’ll find out anyway…” Temari closed the door and went back to lno thinking who could that girl be.
Shikamaru went to town to meet the guys. He hoped Temari didn’t find out his crush was on her…

“Hey Shikamaru! Why did you dumb poor Ino like that?” Naruto yelled as usual.
“How’d you know about it already? It happened two minuets ago…”
“Ino told Sakura, she told Sasuke and now he told us…”
“ALREADY!?” Shikamaru couldn’t believe how fast  news spread these days. Sometimes he wished they haven’t discovered  the phone. It was troublesome…
“So why did you do it anyway? Sakura said Ino said it was quite harsh…” Sasuke wasn’t so cold hearted now so he had confessed to Sakura that he loved her and they got together. The   day Sasuke choose Sakura over her a mad Ino took Shkamaru for a boyfriend.
“Oh I just never really cared about her… And besides now I care about someone else…”
“It’s a girl. Shikamaru’s in love!” Chouji said while eating some sweets. He was Shikamaru’s best friend so he knew him like the back of his hand.
“OOOH MY GOD! No way! Shikamru is too lazy for that…” as usual Naruto was overexcited.
“No I’m not!” Shikamaru thought ne was defending himself but actually he was just proving the idea of him being in love.”I mean….”
“it’s that Temari girl isn’t it?” Chouji once again prove how good he knew his friend.
“Yeah, so what if it is her? What will you do then?” he said thinking he knew the answer.
“We’ll wait for two weeks and if you don’t tell her, we will!” Kiba said like it was the only possible thing.
“What do you know? You waited for  a year before you told lnabi you like her!” Shikamaru suddenly started to scream. Kiba of course turned red and yelled back.
“Well at least I did something… lazy ass!”
“Hey, chill out guys!” Neji stopped them from getting into a fight.” Don’t make scenes.”
“Ah, it was too troublesome to fight anyway…” Shikamaru said considering the situation. “ So I have two weeks than. Well see ya!”he walked away. So in two weeks something would happen for sure…
-at lno’s –
Ino was still very upset about the whole Shikamaru thing and from times to times she broke into tears. But all Temari could think about was that other girl… who could she be?? Shikamaru’s crush… the thought it might be her had crossed Temari’s mind a few times… but she thought it would be ridiculous… <He wouldn’t break up with lno just because of me…. But then again may be he didn’t tell me who did he like because it was me and he wasn’t ready to confess… nah, that’s impossible…> She was totally confused… even if she doubded it before, she was sure that she liked him now… she shook her head  to chase her thoughts away.
“lno you’ll live it trough somehow…” she tried to comfort her crying friend.
“I’m not so sure Temari… *sniff* now I realize I liked him even more than Sasuke…. *sniff* how could I live it trough!?”she just kept crying the whole weekend. So many people came to comfort her but no one could, not even Sasuke (yeah Sasuke came to comfort lno…)! Most of the people that heard lno’s story  felt some kinda anger for Shikamaru except of course for Chouji, who was always with his friend and Temari who was so happy but just didn’t show it because it would hurt lno who wasn’t so happy anyways…
-next morning at Shkamaru’s-

As he was getting up this morning Shikamaru thought he should try something new, so he didn’t put his hair up in the usual pony-tail. Instead he just let it fall down to his shoulders.
When he went out girls started giving him very weird looks like the ones they gave Sasuke. He of course found that too troublesome…. But he still had to impress Temari. Temari …. Just thinking of her made him smile… he rushed to lno’s to meet his dream girl.

Oh gosh… so many things  had happened with her and Shikamaru, Ino had almost forgot to find a new boyfriend…
“I’m out!” Ino grabbed her coat and turned around to leave.
“Hey, hey! Slow down… where are you going?” Temari was shocked at lno leaving so fast.
“To get a new boyfriend of course! Now that things with Shikamaru are toast I need a new one…” she got a little sad remembering of Shikamaru but then she smiled again and went out. When Temari got to the door to close it she almost bumped into Shikamaru.
“Ah, what are you doing here… lno just got out-” Temari started explaining where the boy’s ex-girlfriend was but was interrupted by the young Nara.
“Why are you telling me all this?” Shikamaru seemed amaized.
“Well I thought you came here to make-up with her… didn’t you?”
“Well not really… I… I came here to talk to you actually …”
“ To me?” Temari was staring at the floor until now. She looked up and noticed the change in Shikamaru’s hairstyle… he looked even better with his hair down. And she thought that was impossible… “Why would you wanna talk to me…”
“Well I’m short in time… “ he decided to make his self clear because he noticed the questioning look he was getting from Temari “aaa… the guys told me if I don’t talk to  you then they would so I prefer telling it to you myself…”
“Telling me what?” Temari was getting interested.
“Umm it’s kinda a first time for me to do this  so I’m a bit … nervous… “ While Shikamaru was talking she wasn’t really listening to him. She had just remembered what lno had said. “Find a new boyfriend”?  That  meant Shikamaru was free now… witch meant she had less time… She had to do something… fast! Meanwhile Shikamaru just kept on not saying anything so she decided she had to make the make the first move.
“Shikamaru! Shut up!”
“Huh? What…” the boy was really confused. He obviously screwed everything up but why did she had to be so harsh… maybe she just hated him….
“Shikamaru I think I lo… like you… very much…” she just stood there waiting for his answer. And it came…
“Well I actually came here to tell you tell you that I lo… like you… so… I’m glad it’s two-sided… “he didn’t know what else to say. Even a genius Shikamaru had never been in such a situation like that before… But before he could think of anything his thoughts were interrupted by something soft and wet touching his lips. He opened his eyes to see Temari’s closed eyes just a few millimeters away from his face. Then he realized he was being kissed… (another new thing for Shikamaru….) < huh? Ah, screw thinking!> he thought (I get the irony…) and answered the kiss. … (don’t kill me! I just suck at describing kisses and stuff… so you can go ahead and imagine it… <D….)

After some good kissing Shikamaru and Temari went out and met (guess who?) INO! They let go of each other (they were hugging) and felt a little weird.
“Guys, what’s going on? Why were you hugging and why do you look so … I don’t know… guilty?”
“  Oh gosh this is going to be troublesome…” Shikamaru said while putting his hair up in the usual pony tail.
“NO! Don’t! Let it fall down, you look so much … prettier like that…” lno blushed. She haven’t found a new boyfriend but she just couldn’t tell them. She was sensing what happened.
“That’s why I’m putting it up… Girls are looking weird at me…” he remembered he had some explanation to do. “Well anyways… remember when we broke up I told you I was falling for someone else? Well I introduce you to ‘someone else’. It was all about her…” he looked at the sand kunoichi standing beside him.
“So you’re a couple now? A COUPLE? YOU TWO!? How could you? Both of you…” lno shed a few tears.” Temari were you just pretending all this time when you said how horrible my relationship with Shikamaru ended??? And you? Couldn’t you wait at least a week before getting a new girlfriend…” lno broke into unstoppable tears.
“Ino… it’s just that …”
“Leave her alone…and besides I waited… my last relationship was about a few years ago… I never was your boyfriend  lno… you just wanted me to be it…  well see ya!” he hugged Temari again and they walked away leaving a crying lno behind… ShikaTema… it was official…

The new couple was walking trough town when they met the rest of the gang. Naruto and Hinata, Sasuke and Sakura, Neji and Ten-ten, Kiba and Inabi, Rock Lee, Shino, Chouji. They were all there waiting to know what happened. Shikamaru saw their questioning looks and asked:
“You don’t know?”
“Should we?” Naruto glanced
“ Shika, honey, there’s no way they could know that fast. Don’t you remember we left lno crying on that street? She’s probably still there… she couldn’t have told them already…” Temari was right. Ino was still crying right where they left her.
“ INO CRYED!? Whoa! For what?” Kiba couldn’t believe what he was being told.
“Well I’ll explain everything  in one sentence: Temari is officially my girlfriend and I’m her boyfriend….” Shikamaru finished his sentence and got a lot of surprised and unbelieving looks for it. “What? What did I do?”
“*blink* YAY! Give me the money, Sasuke!” Naruto grinned.
“NARUTO!“ Sakura hit him. “You shouldn’t bet on people like that! “
“Hey, but I was on Shikamaru’s side… you should hit Sasuke too you know…”
“I won’t…..” They kept on fighting but Shikamaru and Temari didn’t care. Shikamaru didn’t even find it troublesome… It was … love… from the non-troublesome kind of love. And he enjoided it. So did she. They were happy together…
